Same Day Appointments are several appointments held for each doctor everyday to accommodate urgent medical conditions. The held appointments are released each morning at 8.30am.To make an appointment call on the day at 8.30am.
Home visits are available for regular patients who are restricted from attending the surgery or in a nursing home/hostel. This service must be prearranged with the patient regular practitioner before an appointment can be scheduled. Home visits are usually scheduled during the middle of the day and before or after the doctor's consulting sessions.
A note on waiting... The doctors in this practice do try to give as much time as necessary to adequately address your concerns. As a result, delays are sometimes unavoidable. We do reserve time for unexpected or medically urgent problems, however occasionally extra time will still be required for such consultations. If you have several problems, a complex problem, need a medical examination for work or insurance, or are undergoing a procedure, you may need a double appointment. Please ask the receptionist who will allocate the necessary time.
Emergencies will be given priority. Where possible please ring ahead, as sometimes it is better for us to attend you or to arrange immediate hospital care if this is more appropriate. We are all available by telephone during surgery hours. Depending upon the nature of your call you will either be put straight through to your doctor or a message will be taken and your call will be returned. Please remember to keep your contact details up to date.
Privacy and Confidentiality
All medical records are strictly confidential. Medical details will only be released to third parties when relevant and required in the course of referral to other health workers; and to other responsible persons only in exceptional circumstances e.g. Life threatening medical emergency. Where the practice participates in research, data identifiable to individuals will not be collected without written consent.
